Our cards are printed on high-quality 250gsm – 300gsm 100% recycled paper.
Recycled paper often has brown spots or flecks because it is made from recycled materials, which can include a variety of sources, such as old newspapers, magazines, and cardboard. These materials often have ink, dyes, and other residues that cannot be fully removed during the recycling process. As a result, these residues can leave behind the brown spots or flecks that you see in recycled paper.
While the appearance of these spots may not be aesthetically pleasing to some, it is important to remember that recycling paper has significant environmental benefits. By using recycled paper instead of virgin paper, we can conserve natural resources and reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills. In fact, recycling one ton of paper can save up to 17 trees, 7,000 gallons of water, and 3 cubic yards of landfill space.
So while recycled paper may have some imperfections, it is a worthwhile trade-off for the environmental benefits it provides. The brown spots and flecks are simply a visual reminder of the paper’s recycled origins and its role in helping to preserve our planet’s natural resources.
